Cleaning & Calibration

At Highland Medical, we take each vaporizer through a multistep process of cleaning and replacing seals, o-rings, and wicks. In our temperature-controlled facility, we use a laser refractometer to check the output of the vaporizer down to 100th of a percent.

Vaporizers are calibrated to 21°C and 35°C. The variation in output with temperature, flowrate, and duration of use is small, and the variation in input when used with Intermittent Positive Pressure Respiration is negligible. The control dial is calibrated to the levels show on the performance curves.
